As part of the Erasmus+ project Head – Heart – Hands, which brings together partners from Croatia, Slovenia, Germany and France, a short-term staff training was held from March 24 to March 26 in the dynamic and inspiring city of Leipzig. The very name of the project – head, heart and hands – perfectly describes the learning approach we had the opportunity to experience: connecting knowledge, emotions and practical skills through creative working methods.

The theme of the training was Storytelling and Digital Storytelling and the program was anything but conventional. The storytelling workshops were led by partners from Germany, who encouraged us — through a series of engaging and interactive activities — to explore the power of our own voice, expression and narrative skills.

On the other hand, the digital storytelling workshops were designed by partners from France, showing us how to turn modern digital tools into powerful instruments for creative expression.

The learning process was filled with laughter, exchange of ideas and constant interaction, making the training feel more like a creative laboratory than a traditional educational program. Each day brought new insights, along with opportunities to immediately put what we had learned into practice, making the entire experience both highly valuable and very enjoyable.

A special contribution to the program was also made by our project coordinator, Lidija, who introduced us to climate cards — a method that enables learning about climate change in an engaging and interactive way by connecting facts with their causes and consequences. This activity sparked great interest and opened up space for discussion and exchange of ideas among participants.

A special part of the program was also our social dinner, where, in a relaxed atmosphere, we continued socializing, got to know each other better and built stronger connections. These informal moments played an important role in creating a sense of community and openness among the participants.

In addition to the educational component, our hosts also organized a group tour of Leipzig. The walk through the city gave us the opportunity to explore its rich history and culture, while also allowing us to slow down for a moment and enjoy everything this fascinating city has to offer.

This training was not only an opportunity to learn new methods, but also an experience that brings together people, ideas and perspectives. We will remember Leipzig as a place where head, heart and hands truly came together as one – through stories, creativity and collaborative work.

After successfully completing the training, we gathered with our partners for a project team meeting, where we jointly defined the next steps of the project. During the meeting, we also reflected on our achievements so far, shared experiences and lessons learned, and further aligned our plans for upcoming activities. This meeting further strengthened our collaboration and motivated us for continued progress.
